I've been playing with the software for a few days now, and it is really fun! For those of you who know me well, you know that scrapbooking is the one craft I've steered clear of, and the reason is mostly because I'm a fan of digital photobooks. My Memories Suite digital scrapbooking software bridges the gap between the two worlds! You get something much cooler and more customized and can even get a scrapbook feel to your work without all the "stuff." Also, it's really flexible, and I see the potential for making many, many things other than scrapbooks... I'm thinking calendars, invitations, cards, advertisements, and well, anything printed that you'd like to make your own!
The software itself is very user-friendly. If you can point and click, you can make a beautiful piece of work. My one criticism is that there are general color schemes for the papers and embellishments, and royal blue was missing! Gonna be tricky to make my Florida Gator pages without that color in my arsenal. ;) Fortunately, you can upload any pictures into your scrapbook, so it won't really be terribly difficult to add my own royal blue images to my pages.
One of the coolest features is that you can easily export your pages to a JPEG format to share on the web! How fun to have a totally personalized blog scrapbook?! You could have it both in print and online.
Here's one of the things that I've made using My Memories.
I left a little negative space at the top of my "October" page so that my big boy can sign his name. I like to have the handwriting chronology. ;) I also could easily scan and import the picture to make it part of the image. For the calendar page, I actually just downloaded that image from the web and added it to my page. Easy as pie! The binder clips were an embellishment in the software, so I thought that made it a little cuter. ;)
Let's get to what you really want to know.... how do I win it!?!? Well, there are several options for entry. Please post a separate comment for each entry.
